Clear Springs Scuba Park

The Scuba Ranch, formerly known as Clear Springs Scuba Park, opened on June 15, 2001. It is family-owned and operated and features a 22-acre spring water lake that boasts one of the finest environments. The most beautiful natural habitat is seen in Texas freshwater lakes. Underwater attractions and wildlife are waiting for you to discover! In addition, it is home to “the largest freshwater shark in North America”, the Sisco shark. They continued to work on improvements to make Scuba Ranch the first open dive center in North Texas.

The park offers many facilities such as 6 diving platforms, 9 entry piers, restrooms, motorhome parking with electricity and water, and a campsite. The area around the lake is well maintained and large. There is a snack bar on-site called “Divers Deli” near the air filling station, where you can refill your tank for $8. Many divers flock to Clear Springs Park every weekend, with dozens of certification courses taking place here each week. The lake, due to its considerable size and depth, offers a wide variety of fish and aquatic life ranging from turtles, large catfish, crappie, black bass and perch. There is rich vegetation in the lake and some good walls by which divers can descend to a depth of 5,563 feet.

The park gets pretty crowded on summer weekends with several certification courses running concurrently. If you are looking for a relaxing dive, try to visit it on a weekday. Overall, Clear Springs Scuba Park is a must-see dive site if you’re in Texas. Fish are abundant and unafraid of divers, the clear blue water, vegetation and rich diving spots will keep you coming back to the Garden for more.
